Ilisa Stein, Psy.D. received her doctoral and master’s degrees in Clinical/School psychology from Pace University and her bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Cornell University. She is a NYS Licensed Psychologist and NYS Certified School Psychologist. She is also a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Genesee Valley Psychological Association (GVPA).
Dr. Ilisa Stein has extensive training and experience in psychotherapy and evaluation. She has worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, schools (public, day treatment, and residential), and inpatient hospitals. Dr. Ilisa Stein’s therapeutic approaches include insight oriented therapy (psychodynamic), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). She works from an integrative approach to best meet the individual needs of each client she works with.
Dr. Ilisa Stein specializes in treating adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, interpersonal difficulties, and life transitions. She is skilled at developing a strong therapeutic relationship, helping people deepen their understanding of themselves and their problems, and supporting people in achieving their goals and satisfaction with their lives.
