I received my master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Technology from Adelphi University, Garden City, NY and my doctoral degree in Clinical/School Psychology from Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY. I completed a pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Institute for Behavior Therapy in New York City where I continued to practice until my relocation to Rochester in 1999. From 1999 to 2015 I was on the faculty at the University of Rochester, Department of Pediatrics’ Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics division and from 2004 to 2015 I was the Director of the Rochester Regional Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder.
I specialize in the assessment and treatment of adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), with or without mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression. I use Cognitive-Behavioral and Behavior Therapy treatment methods in my work with individuals with ASD. I also provide education and counseling on behavioral supports and interventions for home and community to parents caring for a child or teen with ASD. Finally, I conduct evaluations for individuals seeking to apply for NYS social services through the Office for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
If you would like to speak with me directly about my assessment and/or treatment services or if you would like information on my parent education and behavioral counseling services, please contact the office at (585) 223-5920 to complete an initial contact.
